Steven “Diesel” Whitley is the Founder and Director of Home Is Where The Heart Is, a platform dedicated to empowering young athletes and creating opportunities for exposure through the game of basketball.

A former standout at Norfolk State University, Steven played four years for the Spartans before returning to his alma mater to serve as an assistant coach for another four years. His experience as both a player and coach has shaped his commitment to mentorship, development, and community impact.

Deeply rooted in Norfolk, Steven’s mission is to use basketball as a vehicle to inspire, connect, and build a stronger foundation for the next generation.
